One could argue that Balthazar is the best restaurant in the city. That’s obviously an objective opinion, but what isn’t is that you will always get a great meal, service, and ambience in this cavernous restaurant in one of the most desirable corners of the city. Only Danny Meyer can do hospitality better than Keith McNally, but no one is more of the arbiter of cool than Keith (peep his Instagram) and there’s a reason his restaurants remain perennial downtown haunts.
